Black Leopard’s Reaction When He Sees His Favorite Zoo Keeper

I want that job now.

where do i apply

oh god why is this shit on my dashboard rn??

why is this place allowing this to happen??

this is so irresponsible jfc no responsible facility allows unprotected contact between people (whether they be the public or a keeper) and its dangerous animals

you shouldn’t want that job and you shouldn’t want to apply because that would mean you’d be working at an extremely irresponsible facility that allows crap like this to happen

with all that force the leopard is coming at that keeper with, he could easily hurt her. then guess who would have to pay for it? hint: it wouldn’t be the keeper

leopards and other big cats aren’t just ~big kitty cats~; they’re dangerous, wild animals, and that keeper shouldn’t be in an enclosure with one

To the person(s) who want that job, please, I’d rather you go to school for a couple more years and learn why this is irresponsible and cruel. please educate yourself. thank you.

There are some real cocks on here. There’s certain sanctuary’s which are more hands on then others. The man and woman with the Hippo funded my local large and endangered animal specialists. The ‘wolf man’ who’s pack was in his private residence and behavior was monitored by local specialists and his show was funded and reviewed by of course every fucking endangered, large, apex predator society with a whiff this was going on.

Lets say the sanctuary got the leopard as a cub. The contact would be greatly missed if suddenly the keeper couldn’t be close. Its not like it’s a fucking petting zoo. Of course it seems risky and the Leopard could have hurt her, but these risks are taken when you have FACILITIES WHICH ALLOW CLOSE INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS BETWEEN THEIR TRAINERS AND ANIMALS. Are we supposed to look at them through a cage forever and never push the boundary of the creatures emotional capacities ? And by the way, check the laws and rules of up close trainers. Besides one thing I saw about Sea World, you sign a waver saying that wounds and damages to you or belongings when ACTIVELY enrolled in a ‘in cage’ or ‘up close’ session with assigned animal will not cause the animal to be drugged, transferred, or harmed in anyway. Only if the animal attacked her when she was signed out, or she was in the cage without proper notification of her entrance.

Pfft what even are you saying? “Certain sanctuaries that are more hands on”? Ok, first of all a sanctuary is a facility where animals are brought to live and be protected for the rest of their lives (and hopefully from people who think that contact with big cats is ok). ANY place that allows ANY kind of contact with exotic cats, such as this leopard, is an irresponsible facility.

Like do you not even see how fast this leopard is running towards that girl? Do you?? That leopard could have easily hurt her. And no, the blame wouldn’t be on the girl but the leopard, and it would most likely be put down or locked up in some cage isolated from everything - all because that girl wanted to play with the leopard.

The contact would be greatly missed”? What are you even- what?. How would it be missed? By who, the cats or the humans? Because exotic cats don’t “miss” contact with humans, they were never even supposed to be in contact with humans in the first place. They would be better off in a nice enclosure (with their own kind if possible).

Are we supposed to look at them through a cage forever and never push the boundary of the creatures emotional capacities?" Um, what so you want to cuddle with a leopard? for your own personal gain? You have no right to touch or hug or play with a big cat; big cats were not made for humans to touch them. Yes, you are supposed to look at them through an enclosure (or if you’re lucky, in the wild as well, but never in close proximity),andnever are you supposed to be in contact with them. Cats are not very social animals (besides the lion), they are mostly solitary and don’t need the attention of a human to fulfill their needs. If you’re so worried about the emotional capacities of the cat, then how about include another cat of the same species in the enclosure, and voila, the cats emotional needs are met. No need for human contact.

Besides one thing I saw about Sea World…" Are you actually going to bring up Sea World? That facility isn’t even a place you can trust if you think about the many orcas that suffer their.

Again, allow me to enlighten you, any organization, zoo, road side zoo, facility, etc. that allows the public to be in contact with big cats (this does not include keepers/trainers in contact with smaller feline species for educational/training purposes) is BAD and you should never support such places.

”“The contact would be greatly missed”? What are you even- what?. How would it be missed? By who, the cats or the humans? Because exotic cats don’t “miss” contact with humans,..”

Maybe by the happy, insanely excited leopard? I agree with you that cub petting is cruel and should be banned, but I don’t think this is bad. Yes, slightly dangerous, but not bad, the leopard clearly loves her and wouldn’t hurt her intentionally (therefore, no danger from teeth and claws) and it’s not as she was coming to him/her and bothering, no the cat runs to her upon seeing her, i.e. the leopard wants to be with her.

Please. Don’t give me bullshit. You just said it, “slightly dangerous”. If its at all dangerous in ANY way, then there is no real point at all to even be in contact with this leopard. The leopard may like, (lets not say love, because we don’t know that ok) the girl. We don’t know when and if the leopard may go from “happy play mode” to “angry snarly/attack mode”. You don’t know that, I don’t know that. Big cats are very unpredictable predators, so saying that the leopard “wouldn’t hurt her intentionally” is invalid. It may not hurt her intentionally, but it could harm her even while playing, or it could be like “you know what? I wanna bite your arm, it looks chewy, lemme at you” and there you have a bleeding. injured human - that leopard would be in big trouble.
